Hana Simonova
Registered Psychologist
Hana is a registered psychologist, researcher, musician, and mother of two. She has a rich experience working with adults, children and families in Australia, the Czech Republic and Peru. Hana can assist with a broad range of issues including anxiety, depression, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex childhood trauma, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), grief, gender dysphoria, parenting and challenging child behaviours, and addictions. She also supports people to navigate life transitions such as pre/post-natal challenges, and work and study changes. Hana has undertaken research on altered states and psychedelics and can support people with integration or challenges following such experiences.
Hana creates a safe and non-judgemental space for her clients to get in touch with their feelings, needs and aspirations, discover their inner potential and power, learn new coping strategies, and maintain healthy relationships. She uses a range of evidence-based and trauma informed approaches and techniques including Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-based Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Analytical Psychotherapy, and Expressive Therapy, as well as relaxation techniques. Hana also provides psychological assessments.
Hana enjoys singing, music, yoga, travelling, bush walking, camping, and spending time with her family and friends.
Clients may be eligible for Medicare rebates (subject to valid mental health care plan and referral from a medical practitioner) and Hana also accepts clients via Transport Accident Commission (TAC), Work Safe and NDIS.
