Dettie Onus Browne

Dettie is a white, non-binary, trans and queer individual living in the unceded lands of the Wurundjeri people. They’re qualified social worker and therapist, providing counselling for individuals, couples, and families. They have an invested interest in working with neurodivergent people, LGBTIQA+ people and their families, survivors of conversion and suppression practices, people who have used violence in relationships and people who experience complex and/or relational trauma. Dettie works with people of all genders, sexualities, religions/faiths and cultures.

Dettie is an integrative therapist with an understanding of the oppressive systems that marginalised communities face everyday. They are constantly learning and growing in my practice and personal life to support individuals with therapy that is holistic and doesn’t ignore environmental impacts of systemic oppression. They are experienced working with children who have experienced trauma of all ages, including dyadic work focused on attachment between infants and caregivers.

As a non-binary, queer, and trans individual, Dettie brings a lived experience to their work, aiming to create a safe and understanding space for individuals exploring gender, sexuality, and identity. Feel free to schedule a confidential session where you can discuss your goals and concerns in a supportive environment, determining the best approach for your needs.
